I have no agreement with you at all. The salient agreement you have is located here: http://www.elitetrader.com/conduct_rules.cfm
It's pretty clear you don't know my stance on abortion. No but I do question the sagacity and maturity of atheists. Sure I'll let you fix my car but I won't let you perform certain surgeries, provide any input medicines or counseling concerning end of life issues, psychiatry or philosophy.
richter it is not necessarily murder in the United States because murder is the unlawful killing of another. So it might be murder for a third party but probably not the mom. However, is it homicide. That is tough question. I will not presume to have a air tight answer for you. And this is for idiots like Stu who see religion in every corner.... since we do not live in the vatican - I think we should draw the line at viability and prior to viability outside the womb we should allow the states to decide. But the law has stayed away from that answer. So lets go with viability outside the womb. sort of a new roe ve wade analysis. After 22-24 weeks no abortions because those babies are being saved in NICUs. Before 22-24 weeks abortion in states which allow it by majority vote. And for those who vote for it... let them check off a box an donate a dollar for free abortions if they so see fit. Please do not use my tax dollars for it... because I see it a barbaric act which no life affirming progressive should tolerate.
Is it any wonder I see religion in every corner when you mention religion in every corner. One minute you're saying your religious belief in God is why you believe abortion is homicide. So is that homicide wrong? The next minute you 're saying that homicide should be allowed because a majority thinks it's ok. So is that homicide not wrong? Which I think does demonstrate how it is reasonable to expect deeply held superstitious belief will strongly influence what you do say. And in this case it makes you sound duplicitous.
Hello stu, It seems that our arguments meet the equivalent of Picketts Charge at the hill of Faith. For me, faith, is the power that moves the mountains of worldly knowledge, that changes a mans sight and mends broken hearts. For me, the everlasting and always ready faithfulness of G-D, is in its most visible form at the end of a mans faith... For you, faith seems a foolish and inconsequential waste of time, lacking any power or substance. Such is life. I respect your arguments and the tenacity in which you conduct them, but our "battle" will always end in stale-mate on the shore of Faith.
stu will never accept the stalemate condition. It's funny because for him to never accept it he has to hold his vaunted science in lower regard than his opinion. He's always been disingenuous about his motives, hiding behind science yet he will abandon logic as soon as it's expedient for him to do so. So the conversation resembles the "Who's on first " skit.
