It seems to me that a student that has the ability to pause, rewind and repeat any lesson they don't "get" is far better off than a student sitting in class. Continuing to throw money at a failing educational system won't work. The main problem for educational attainment is the "group setting".
I can confirm that he's absolutely right about this. Raleigh at one point had public schools that were the equal of most top private schools. Integration changed all that, and their solution was to try to dilute the blacks in the city by combining it with the county system. Result was 30+ years of lives ruined. The people that suffered were the ones who always suffer at the hands of liberals, middle and lower class whites. The wealthy elites just sent their kids to private or religious schools. The problem however is you will always face this kind of risk with a government system. Whether the disastrous decisions are being made by politicians backed by union members or bureaucrats, you're stuck. And you get to pay for their insanity even if your kids go elsewhere.
