Schonfeld Sec. bad moon rising ???

  1. Most of their best traders left, you been watching and beliving the video conf. calls way to much. The best has his own Hedgefund in chicago, which schoni is key investor. However, there are still some good traders left, but many have gone on to trade their own capital or join LLCs . I can't say names but schoni knows.

  2. What features inherent in the nature of intraday price movement these days has led to Schoni cutting back on its traders?

firms and traders that don't evolve, eventually fail. well... not exactly, its actually the innovation of computer assisted trading. the advent of semi-automated trading systems are defeating the non-automated, individual trader.

there is an answer. I found it.

    best of intelligence to all.

LOL. What trader isn't "computer assisted" these day? If by computer assisted you mean traders are monkeys and the computers do all the trading, bring them on.

Before you move to go live in Paradise, if you would be willing, I would enjoy taking a tour of your "shop"

metooxx it doesn't take too long to learn about some of these firms. I will confidently maintain that schonfeld has produced more money than all of these firms mentioned combined.

they trade a unique style which may or may not be impressive to you, but the past results sound quite impressive to me. i have met some incredibly bright people who work or have worked there.

metooxx what is a great trader. i highly doubt if anyone is consistently profitable in this market. it is impossible to make a good living in the equities markets b/c of the lack of liquidity. i don't care that the nasdaq posts over 1.5 billion a day when 1/3rd of that is in crap like sunw wcom and csco.
