Schonfeld or Spike Info

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by rockbrain, Jan 9, 2003.

  1. Does anyone have any information they could share about the Chicago offices of either Schonfeld or Spike? I am currently a CBOE market maker looking to go off floor in the near future and have heard good things about these two firms. However outside of there websites I have been unable to uncover much information.

  2. tell us how the liquidity is in equity options or oex.....
    hmmmmmm

and well tell you where to get started chucking them around on the screens

  3. I hear the oex is still decent, but the equities where I trade are terrible. Liquidity has dried up to nothing but professional paper and that usually trades very close to fair value or is crossed. message me if you want to hear any specifics

  4. I think Schonfeld may close their Chicago office to cut costs.

  5. just refreshing the thread

Spike is predominately a futures and cme clearing firm. Stock trading is available through Andover. Both Prop. and retail traders.

Schoenfeld is strong nationally, and specifically in NY, but I don't know much about their Chicago operations.
