  4. I thought it was a stupid post. The people on here who are responding by saying 'Congrats on a great multi-year performance' and 'Don't worry, you'll make it back' are basically commenting on the posts made by teenage losers sitting in their underwear in their mother's basement and posting on here saying what a loser Aaron is.

Everything in the post you thought was so good is rhetorical. Anyone who has that kind of response when he sees fellow traders giving a prop up to an established guy who has a bad drawdown is someone with problems. It was an emotional overreaction to a simple act of commiseration among a community of traders. The guy who posted it needs to get over himself.

  5. Where exactly in his post empee is calling Aaron a loser ?
Now , what is your answer to his simple question : “How do YOU know that he ( or anyone else in similar situation ) will recover “ ?

  6. I didn't say he's calling Aaron a loser. Read a bit more carefully next time.

Re: whether I know he'll recover, what an idiotic question. Are you saying that any act of encouragement, to anyone from a small child to your parents who are struggling with illness, is pointless? Do I KNOW he'll recover? How in the fuck could I KNOW that? Is this a serious question?

We give encouragement to those who are down. We do this because we make a conscious choice to live our lives in a certain way. You've made a conscious choice to live your life in another way, which involves being angry and alone and creating conflicts where none exist.

Now go back to pondering all the people who have screwed you over and who are responsible for your present circumstance.

  8. ?? Did I say you shouldn't post here? You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension.

At least you're willing to admit that you made a mistake. Maybe there's hope for you yet.

Thank you for admitting that there's nothing wrong with providing encouragement to a child who's struggling, telling them that they can do whatever they're trying to accomplish but not quite getting yet, or to a parent who's struggling with an illness, or to a friend whose new small business is going through some chop.

Maybe you could try writing your posts in MS Word and then waiting a while, then reading them over to see if they make any sense. Then you can cut and paste them if they don't seem as confused as these last ones were.

  9. 5 year performance (2003-2007, CAR):
    DJ Wilshire 5000: 12.2%
    Schindler Trading: 5.3%

Schindler takes on a LOT more risk than a total market index fund, as evidenced by his recent large drawdown. The results above haven't been remotely acceptable for this level of risk. His bear market results in 2001 & 2002 were quite a bit better, but were achieved in a markedly different market environment. Aaron would do well to add diversifying strategies to his arsenal.

  10. (sigh)... so you blatantly cherry pick his results and then claim that you know better than he does how to run a multi-million dollar portfolio?

Fund is up 20% P/A since inception.

Can we close this thread now?

    Unreal.

Both of you are on ignore so any reply will be for the benefit of others viewing this thread.
