She understood the hedge fund game very well (it's to rip off investors, at best giving them small returns) but overstepped the boundaries without having the right connections. If this was Steve Cohen he'd walk away intact but she's not in the same league.
Like a Ponzi scheme, generating false profit each month by trading/pushing losses to the next period to be paid off in later months....

My guess is that she kept rolling gains and creating losses. Basically defrauded investors of 10MM in fees. These losses aren't real but rather byproducts of her fraud.
I don't quite understand so please explain to me: If she liquidate her fund today, would those losses then go away? All along I was rooting for her as she represented the dreams of small retail traders like some of us here.
