I dont know if any of you have seen these, but they are EXTREMELY creepy. Normally I would like to prove some of this stuff first by reversing the speech myself to make sure this stuff isnt made up, but apparently there are all sort of recordings made that are posted all over youtube. If the first few times, you play those clips without looking at the text you would have no idea what it is that your supposed to be hearing, except for maybe a few percentage of the words. It's a neat trick of the mind that demonstrates the power of visual priming on auditory perception in transforming garbled speech like sounds into meaningful ones. A similar thing happens with "talking" dogs and cats. The animals' owners always prime the observer with what the animal is going to say. Years ago, Art Bell played a backwards clip of (then) President Clinton supposedly saying, "Nuclear war now." Creepy and mildly entertaining, but still a crock.
