  1. Mooch had possibly the worst first week in the history of all presidential appointments, ever. He didn't get shot and killed. So that was good. Otherwise, he acted like a crazy person. For someone who had cultivated an image as the ultimate smoozer, he seemed unhinged. Either that or more naïve than the average congressional intern. I honestly think he would have pulled it together. He is getting divorced, and that no doubt put a lot of stress on him, plus the sale of his company. But he did act like someone who forgot their meds. It's a shame because he would have had Trump's back, unlike the rest of them.

He didn't have to go to a reporter and talk about cock sucking.

Supposively, he is getting fired not for saying such vulgar things as the representative of the White House, but because he took the spotlight from Trump.

First day on the job, Kelly gets the Mooch fired. That makes you think. "OK. everything is going to settle down down now," until you realize that Kelly may not yet be fully aware that he is answering to a mentally ill person.

Still plenty of great material here for Broadway. The Mooch has just tap danced off stage Left and Kelly has Buffaloed on from Stage Right. Trump is in the pool floating on his back with an enormous belly, smoking a ring-size 60 Cigar and surrounded by Miss Universe Babes in Bikinis.

  4. So the Comms Dir violated the most basic rule of politics in his first week? Staff's role is to keep the spotlight on the person who won the election, and to be a fall guy if necessary. I actually thought Mooch was doing Trump a favor by drawing fire from the enemy however.

  5. I have to believe that - however silent and behind the scenes it may be- that Pence is one of the big winners here in that -with Kelly- he has at least one other person in the inner circle who is operating on a functional and reasonably dignified plane. I would think that the chemistry there would be quite good and to everyone's advantage and, of course, if Pence runs in 2020 (simply because trump may only want to do one term) then that relationship may have more legs than you think.

  7. Might not be over yet. The Mooch keeps reminding us about what Italians say and do. If he doesnt get that participation trophy job with the international trade commission or whatever it is, there might be a black limousine pull up to the White House - and I don't mean the Secret Service.

Hope the 10 minutes of fame were worth the marriage, half his assets, and however many years of alimony.
