Probably the color of the platform.

Aren’t you assuming he is buying and selling with market orders hence he starts 2 ticks in the hole? But he is using limit orders......

The fibs are drawn using the hi/lo and lo/hi of the overnight session. I described the method in an article in Stocks and Commodities magazine, January 2016

If you can’t tell from matching the prices to the tape then god help you. It’s SIM.

I didn’t look examine his trades in detail and compare to the tape as you apparently did however, some platforms in demo may be different color than when live. But, still the issue of price taker at the market and the fact his order is not going to move (or set) the market one way or the other but if he uses limit orders in his buy and sells he still gets his 1 point not 1/2 point. Still even with limit orders he is still taking what the market sets the price at, however he is letting it come to his PT so your idea of him losing two ticks to start with when he enters the trade doesn’t add up. Yes to make 1 point he needs a 6 tick move but if his strategy takes that into account then he is not in the hole. And if he goes to 2:1 RR then mathematically his trading works outs even taking into account losses and especially if he has a 60% to 70% win rate.

Now if he has a 2 point SL then mathematically his structure is wrong for a 1 point PT

1:1 RR is ok he just needs a strategy that renders or capitalizes on 6 tick moves and at least 60% win rate.

Dump Truck volpri -- it's IBTWS paper trader so they are simulated fills. You pikers are price takers when you trade ES, and therefore you need to model 0.50 in edge loss. Pete doesn't, because this sim-account is a joke.

This dude is trading on one of the absolute worst fill simulators in history. IBTWS paper trader will let you buy the bid and sell the ask all day. Regardless, sim is sim. On futures it's outright fraud.

The guy is passing off IB demo as legitimate fills. Stocks and Commodities lol.

  9. But the edge loss you mention i don't seem to recall having it with transact futures. But the current broker i am using i can understand your point of view, But you also have to increase the rr to 1.25 to take into account edge loss and also commissions. thats why i always have a stop loss of 1.25 but no set profit target most of take profit targets are 4-6 points or atleast to the next support or resistance. But i rarely stick to my take profit target, i manually exit trades when i see a clean point has been made.

I just checked his first two trades and price went through all of his limits for all 4 orders. Could still be sim but those trades would have filled live for sure. Price didn't hit his 1 point stops either.
