It's been a popular argument on many forums, that "scalping" does not work, certainly not amongst pro traders.
I'd like to think that such generalisations are not a smart statement to make.
As i'm sure there's at least a few traders here making their living from trading, what is your opinion?
When i say scalping, i don't mean scalping the spread, rather many small point intraday gains with the occasional larger run.

  2. The vast majority of the pros who are members of the CME, CBOT and NYMEX and trade their accounts don't make their money by long term investing.

Scalping does not work for me for three main reasons: 1) the trading cost (fees+slippages) is too high percentage-wise; 2) it highly depends on your ability of finding good entries or exits; 3) it is too stressful due to the time pressure.
