Scalping the markets

I feel there are basically three kinds of traders...scalpers,daytraders and swing traders. I think I would fall into the scalper category. When I make a trade on the e-minis I usually get out if I'm down 3 or 4 ticks or up 6 to 10. Are there any good books or websites out there that deal specifically with scalping techniques?

Question for you,what is one tick worth in dollars for the nq and es contracts?

 

The NQ trades in 1/2 points. Each point is worth $20, so a tick is $10.

The ES trades in 1/4 points. Each point is worth $50, so a tick is worth $12.50.
