Scalping is Risky?

    It is risky, but not as much as holding long positions, you see gains and losses, when you scalp each day + always add small SL.

    No black or white.
    Scalping adds risk by: huge leverage, high trade frequency
    Scalping reduces risk by: much shorter trade duration, less time in market

    How one balances those factors is up to the individual trader, ergo the endresult, if scalping reduces risk or increases it, is depending on the person in front of the screen.

  7. from last couple of weeks i am doing scalping , result was not bad , overall good. trading pair was eur/usd.

  9. It is risky because your commissions eat up your profits and you need to be right really a lot to compensate for it.

    I use special account at Hotforex for scalping called raw spread account - almost no spread but fixed commission. it's important to reduce floating part of transaction costs in scalping because you place a lot of trades and you need consistency.
