I would like to hear from guys who make above 100 trades a day. I am just wondering how do they manage this and with what results.
If i make more than 5 trades a day - i consider the day as bad unless i made profit at the end of this day.

  4. I've done over 700 trades in one day, but on stocks not on index futures... the game is pretty much market making being on the bid and the ask all the time to profit from the spread.

Ohh and yes, ADD does help... in moderate amounts.

  5. Is that advanced decline or attention deficit disorder?:p :D

  6. These days with choppy, sideways, go-nowhere tapes I average roughly six turns per session. On pace this morning... long +1pt ER, long -1pt ER, short 812.30 open w/price action 810.30 now. If this one makes +4pts or better on its close, done for the day.

Best days, biggest profits usually come from two - three turns when price action is either trending or swinging wide. Neither condition exists right now... both are coming soon

  8. atention deficit... I actually do better on days when I can keep up with 100 trades per hour... it takes a lot of energy [that's why most days I prefer to trade only a few hours...

  9. If that works for you that's good. I am not my best when it comes to scalping. I can do it, but I like intraday swing trading better. Scalping take extreme focus, analyzing the tape to see if you can squeeze a lit more out of your trade sometimes.

    Hi eusdaiki,

In your earlier post, you mentioned always hitting the ask to buy and hitting the bid to sell, taking away liquidity but now you are saying you are buying on bid and selling on ask, so which is which?
