SCALPERS - why aren't you trading e-minis?

  2. It's important to know the major weightings in the indexes because certain stocks' movements can affect the index, and actually lead the futures, like MSFT & GE.

  5. Exactly, and the funny thing is, if a stock comprises 10% of an index then it seems to lead the corresponding index future 10% of the time and be lead by it 90% of the time.

    i think its 5 bucks compared with the dows larger 10 dollar contract, more info at www.cbot.com if you cant find it let me know i will post a link as far as correlation with indexs and % does anyone have a website that provides this info like msft is = this % of naz 100 or sp500 thanks

    metooxx, why wouldn't you put MSFT or INTC on your screen if you are trading NQ? Just curious...
