He did what he said he would do - he PM'd me some trades. But I lost interest partly because he tried to PM me on ET and my PM storage could not handle it (I gave him my yahoo account but he did not send them there,) and did not bother to verify them in any way because of that. nitro
If you wanna scalp successfully, you should definately give www.scalptrades.com a try. They are well worth it because they dont hide sh** like the others. everything is clear. they tell you to buy, you buy, they tell you to sell, you sell, then they post the average of what all members made as the gain for the day. So it's not some theoretical sh**. I don't see anyone in the chat room trading industry doing this. Good Luck froggie
I don't know of any successful trader that will impart any of their knowledge after years of trial and error....I trade successfully but I would never ever give some one else my trading methodology. I do know of a website but can't recall it, this was a while ago...I liked their philosphy I think their slogan was something like "free trading system, you trade it but we keep the source code" I believe they took a portion of your gains if you trade their system or software...The funny thing was they had a limit on subscribers or licensees and they can yank the license at anytime, they said that if too many individuals had the system it would effect the performance....maybe they filled their quota on subscribers and are not seeking any new business. Because I don't receive any of their emails anymore showing the PnL this was around three years ago. Well anyway sorry about rambling, hope you find your mentor.
Just finished reading through this thread. Pretty much agree with whats been said. The only exception I can think of would be some old fart who has already made more than he could ever spend.
thanks for all the offers, but I have found my mentor, my simulator I am still trading longer term time frames, I find it fits my style more as well. Thanks a ton to the guys that offered, anybody can msg me and I'll help you if you need as well.
Sorry i havent checked this thread in a while. I saved 1 day of trades that i did i think 53% and started to send them to nitro but his PM box was full and never pm'd me back for the list so i figured he'd lost interest. I can't email from work as everything non trader related is blocked by stupid site blockers, so thats why he never got sent any to yahoo. Around this time i had a few days over and a few days below 60%, but since aug 1, and my graduation at swift ($2000 in a month) i have been trading a few other methods as per the trader P/L that i post in everyday, and would now be comparing apples to oranges. I assume nitro's denile will continue, laziness or subborness driven.
Not true... You can be a very successful scalper on 50% winners... on the remaining 50%, you just gotta make sure that around 30% are scratches, leaving around 20% as losers... professional scalpers often have larger average losers than average winners, but not by a great deal though... profits result from the high proportion of scratches 'crowding out' what would otherwise be a high proportion of losers... Also, when one is talking scalping, one is talking about trades which last no more than a minute... usually, scratches are the shortest duration trades (e.g. 20 seconds), winners slightly longer (e.g. 30 seconds) and losers longer still (e.g. 40 seconds)... The sign of a great scalper is someone who a) wins more often than they scratch and b) scratches more often than they lose... Scalping isn't a strategy: its a mindset combined with good execution skills, rock-bottom commissions and minimal data latency... I used to scalp, but I grew out of it... there's too much intensity and stress in it, as you grow older... having said that, it is the most consistent form of trading if you can master the skills...
