Perhaps using leftist math. But in the real world California is costing everyone in the country big money. From automobile emission controls to massive unfunded pension liabilites. You are all going to subsidize those living in beautiful weather.
yeah I want my money back for bailing out GM...Chrysler....AIG.....and all those other rich companies who fucked over their employees and got off with no punishment while we saved their retirements. Just divert all company social welfare to public worker pensions.
At first glance I was not sure where you were going with this, and thought, "bailing out GM" is in effect similar to bringing back manufacturing. How very Trumpian of Obama." I don't disagree with your sentiment, I just note that the private and public sector both compete for workers, and pensions is one way they (used to) do it. Never should have tied pensions to the stock market, though, because as we've seen it's "not the economy".
So abiling out publci pensions is securing the future for thousands of public workers... however GM created their own mess in the private sector so let them figure it out themselves rather than with my money. And GM is not the manufacturing sector when they moved a lot of production to Canada....They make shitty cars for years with no skill or intelligent management....they dont deserve to be bailed out.
There is manufacturing on both sides of the border. I've heard the average car "crosses" the border a few dozen times before it's completely finished.
I bet California is making a lot of money for the US and generating a ton of income tax. But if you really can't stomach the thought of keeping California in the US, Canada is willing to add every west coast state to our great country. So many dummies like you whining about things they know very little about.
