Oh, he will quote from anything that aligns with his prejudices. He might get into the Washington Free Beacon next! Imagine being trapped in such "belief perseverance"? This describes the tendency to cling to initial beliefs even after they have been partly or entirely discredited. A healthy brain regularly resets to a state of epistemic vigilance however some, having already made up their mind, that say Abusada is a “terrorist,” well they’ll accept any source that supports this view, regardless of its quality. Probably makes them think that they simply have importantly unique thought processes they MUST share, and not a mental defect in how their brain processes evidence.
Hamas stealing these food aid supplies and then re-selling them to the Palestinian civilians in Gaza is well documented -- including statements from Palestinians who are demanding that Hamas hands over the food aid for free as they protest. The terrorist organization does this to raise money to pay their militants. During the past several months, while food aid has been withheld, Hamas has not been able to pay its militants. This demonstrates how vital this food aid theft money source is to Hamas. The new food aid set-up which will not allow Hamas to steal the food has angered the terrorist organization; Hamas stated that they would harm any Palestinian who cooperated with the new food distribution scheme. Admittedly the new food distribution scheme is not off to a good start -- with desperate Palestinians overrunning the first food distribution site. The claims made in Jonathan Cook's blog are laughable because there is an overwhelming mound of evidence that Hamas is stealing the food aid and re-selling it rather than passing it out for free. This food hording and resale by the terrorist group has led to rare large protests against Hamas in Gaza by Palestinians -- many of them demanding free food and Hamas to stop the war.
We have already been down this path -- and clearly demonstrated Jonathan Cook's bias and failure to provide factual information in previous instances.
It's called a political predisposition and everyone has them. If you're fortunate you have the ability to occasionally question your own positions as a fact check.
