The job of the U.N "peace keepers" was to ensure that Hezbollah did not launch rockets and missiles from Lebanon into Israel. The U.N. has failed to do this for 18 years now -- clearly not living up to the mandate agreement that had Israel withdraw from Lebanon after the 2006 Israeli-Hezbollah War.

Hezbollah has been storing and launching missiles a mere 1000 feet away from one of the peace keeper bases --- obvious for all to see -- yet did nothing to stop the launches.

Yes, at this point the peacekeepers need to leave Lebanon and let Israel complete the job of stopping the continuous missile launches into Israel by Hezbollah. The U.N. peacekeepers had one job and they failed to do it.

No civilized nation is going to put up with a terrorist group launching missiles at them from a neighboring country -- creating a situation where over 60,000 of your own citizens need to evacuated from their homes -- and not implement a forceful response. Enough is enough.

This should also be a reminder that Hezbollah and its leadership has killed hundreds of Americans -- their attacks are not only inflicted on Israelis.

It's no excuse for attacking the peacekeepers.
