http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/29/world/middleeast/29saudi.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper&oref=slogin This isn't usual Saudi talk. This could start getting uglier, economically and politically. In his speech, the king said, âIn the beloved Iraq, the bloodshed is continuing under an illegal foreign occupation and detestable sectarianism.â
Its legal. The winning force can reinvade when the losing force breaks a cease fire agreement like Saddam did. Nothing further to discuss.
but it was ok for saudi arabia to be a launch pad for the war that ended Iraq's occupation of Kuwait... no good deed goes unpunished.
And the alleged 9/11 terrorists (although more likely mossad agents, seeing who gained from it) came from Saudi Arabia.
Wow, I didn't know I'd start a board war...shit. My point in posting it was more in regards to economics and how any chink in the relationship might affect our economy.
The terms 'legal' or 'illegal' are of little importance. The only term that matters is 'stupid'. As in, this invasion/occupation was Stupid. The lack of a plan to win the peace was Stupid. The thinking that the invaders/liberators would be greeted with candy and flowers was Stupid. The pre war 'intelligence' was Stupid. Letting sectarian issues explode into civil war was Stupid. Being bogged down 4 years after going in is Stupid.
