Agree. He'll be talking with Jordan (King of) today or tomorrow at the White House. The King has PTSD from Black September, and before, when the PLO murdered his grandfather. First of all, Jordan is actually the East British Mandate that was gifted to a bull-Shiek who apparently helped the British oust the Ottoman's in the region (per the movie Lawrence of Arabia). This bull-Shiek was actually supposed to have been given Arabia, only, another bull-Shiek, Ibn Saud, took over by force, ousting the Hashemite tribe out of "Saudi Arabia" instead. Because of that, instead of awarding the East British Mandate to a Jewish state, this huge swath of land was given to a Hashemite dynasty. Meanwhile, the Saudi found oil, while the Hashemites did not. Apparently, the landlocked East British Mandate (aka "Trans-Jordan") has not even found much water, for which they are largely supplied by Israel and its superior desalinization plants. In 1948, the Hashemite bull-Shieks decided they would gang up, with other mystic Mohammedans of generally Arab stock, to seize the West British Mandate, or Western Palestine (Jordan is East Palestine) all the way from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. They failed in that, but did manage to grab what they call the "West Bank" of the Jordan River valley, which is basically the historical Israel. Literally, the Hash bulls were invading areas not gifted to them by the British, going way beyond that part of the "Mandate" given to them...as a gift! It was not the intention of the Hash bull-Shieks to grab this on behalf of any new ethnic group call "Palestinians", but rather to maximize pan-Arabism in the region for the expansion of its own sense of entitled dynasty per the Mohammed Mandate, so-to-speak, a colonial killing machine going back to AD 762 or so. Between '48-'67, Israel was too militarily, or politically weak to beat them out of there. It should be noted that a '48 United Nations recommendation gave part of the West British Mandate (everything that wasn't already given to Jordan) to a yet smaller group of Arabs that populated the highest geographical regions of the Mandate that was originally designated to be given over to an as yet immigrating Jewish diaspora. As such, it can be said that when Trans-Jordan (East Palestine of the British Mandate) launched a war in response to Israel's declaration of state (acceptance of the UN resolution), it was actually taking away that portion of the West British Mandate that the UN had just given to a local faction of Arabs not yet within the domain of the Hashemite dynasty! Thus, it was intending to take land not only from Israel (all the way to the sea) but also from other Arabs! Despite this intent, they only managed to take land from other Arabs! Fast forward '67, Trans-Jordan (a place where transvestites where not allowed) joined another pan-Arab incursion into the West British Mandate with the intent of grabbing the entire West British Mandate (what smaller portion of it became Israel) , and in the process, lost that portion of the West British Mandate (what they called the "West Bank") that they had previously stolen from local Arabs! This area then became a kind of no-man's land, or reservation (like an Indian Reservation in the US), for those local Arabs who had stupidly joined the Hash bull-Shiek dynasty in an effort not only to take land from a local hodgepodge of mongrol Arabs, but also from Israel...all the way to the sea. These were literally enemies, having declined to themselves declare themselves a state, per the same '48 UN resolution offering a portion of the land (between the river and the sea) to Israel. These were enemies who literally rolled the dice with a larger military force (East Transvestite Jordan) and Egyption, to literally steal Israel's portion allotted by the UN to them. These local Arabs remained in limbo until Yassar Arafat, an Egyption Arab, immigrated into the area to assert his own dynasty, appropriating the term "Palestine" for his bullshit little Shiek-dom. Although he was not from the local area of Arabs (he was Egyption) he was apparently related, by familial tribe, to the Grand Mufti al-Husseini (pronounced similar to Barak Hussein Obama, who was married to a trans not welcome in Trans-Jordan) , who was the original Yasser Arafat who tried to stir up local Arabs to oust the immigrating Jewish diaspora back out into the sea, back to Poland where they came from. This was the Mufti, who, like Arafat, was outed from the local area, and had to live a nomadic life on the run, for most of the rest of his life. This is the same Mufty who cozied up to Hitler, and lived in Berlin, during WWII, just like that Nazi, Yasser Arafat. It is this Yasser Arafat, who, while living a nomadic life, ousted from the local area adjacent to Israel (the "West Bank" of "Trans-Jordan") and then taking shelter in the Hashemite dynasty (gifted by the British to the ousted Arabs of the Saudis)...it is this Yasser Arafat who assassinated the King of the Hashemite dynasty, King Hussein I (the first) while he was exiting the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem with his grandson, Hussein (pronounced similar to Grand Mufti al-Husseini). Dude literally tried to take over the dynasty. This is the same grandson, Hussein (pronounced similar to Barak Hussein Obama, a Muslim who tried to take over the United States by domestic internal coup) who is meeting with President Trump today or tomorrow in the White House, no doubt, to talk about his Kingdom's lack of oil and water, as well as his Kingdom's responsibility to take in local Arabs that used to belong to his grandfather's dynasty, you know, back when his grandfather tried to seize Israel's little portion of UN granted land back in '48, and again in '67. Because the memory of Yasser Arafat's "Palestine Liberation Organization" who assassinated his grandfather in an attempt to take over the dynasty, the King of what is now called "Jordan" (because they do not allow transvestites into the kingdom) has PTSD, which causes his left eyebrow to twitch, uncontrollably, whenever he speaks of mass immigration of local Arabs from the West side of the Jordan river, into the East side of the Jordan river, which was gifted to his grandfather by the British for help in ousting the Ottoman Caliphate (Kingdom) in WW1. His eyebrow twitches because he knows damn well that they (his grandfather and his bullshit little kingdom) tried to steal land from local Arabs on the West side of the Jordan river (besides Israelis), causing people like Arafat to feel justified in assassinating his grandfather and taking over the bullshit little kingdom they were given by the British that was actually supposed to be given to the Jewish diaspora as part of a "Mandate" given to the British by the UN (a mandate that was never fully remanded). So just keep this in mind as you see the King, with a twitching left eyebrow, sitting next to Trump in the White House, talking about the need to finally bring peace into the region, and about the King's responsibility to help take those local Arabs who simply cannot be trusted to live adjacent to Israel any longer.
Apparently a lot of the aid was coming through USAID? If so, all that aid is basically a presidential slush fund established by JFK back in the '60s. Not surprisingly a lot of it has been given to Catholic charities. And any department set up by the Executive, sans-Congress, can be shut down by the Executive. Of Congressional sanctioned aid, yes, apparently a lot of aid has been given to both Egyption and Jordan, but especially Egyption. So for damn sure, they need to start taking responsibility and start repaying US kindness in-kind for favors it has granted for years, if not decades now. Probably the Executive has power to shut it down, at least temporarily, till Congress voices in. Apparently, a lot of this aid was to supplement the famous peace deal that Egyption made with Israel. As such, it is a kind of extortion to motivate the Egyption Islamic regime to maintain that peace deal over the years...a deal they are currently violating with an over-the-top presence of tanks in the Sinai, with the apparent intent to keep local Arabs (euphemistically called "Gazans") within their open-air prison. At present, that aid apparently prevents the Egyption mystic machine from bankruptcy and collapse, in which case it is likely to be taken over by a more extreme form of Egypton mystic machine called "The Muslim Brotherhood", which was preferred by the former President Barak Hussein Obama as kindred spirits. So damn right they are going to take as many local Egyption Arabs (known as Gazan "Palestinians") as Trump deems necessary. Because right now, Sisi is defacto waging war on Israel by holding the Gazan Islamic extreme mystics in their open-air prison by means of these treaty-breaking tank divisions in the Sinai. Not just now, but Sisi has been waging war for year by supplying a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood called "Hamas" in Gaza through tunnels underneath the Philidelphi corridor, such that it functions, defacto, as a forward base in a long-time pan-Arab objective to seize Israel (the whole of the West British Mandate) from the river to the sea. Arguably, for all its protestation that it is not the Muslim Brotherhood, it is more likely that Sisi is indeed a mask over the face of the Muslim Brotherhood and its little brother "Hamas". So yah, they are going to take as many refugees as Trump tells them to take.
Here is a pretty good news summary what's been going down so far with this deadline. What's new to me is that Hamas has back-tracked from its initial announcement that it would be postponing release of any more hostages and instead, will be abiding by the ceasefire agreement, while taking notes of at least three points of the agreement which The Islamic Resistance ("Hamas") says that Israel has broken (Those are noted at about the 7:00 minute mark into this report). I was aware of these objections, but was also aware of the argument from the Israeli side why these incidents happened. For example, apparently Israel delayed scheduled humanitarian aid as a response to the emaciated condition of last Saturday's released hostages. Yet another incident, a group of Gazans approached a known buffer zone that Israel is holding around the perimeter of Gaza, against known instructions not to, resulting in two or three dead, and a few injured. And yet one more minor infraction that again, was yet another response to some prior infraction on the part of The Islamic Resistance, a name used by Hamas itself, to describe itself. So there's a little tit for tat going on where the Islamic Offensive (my name for Hamas) made a decision to toy with the Israelis, as if they owned Gaza, and had some kind of moral equivalency. This decision to toy with Israelis was by chance, or not chance, made after some Islamic Offensive leadership made a special trip to Tehran to discuss privately, what the hell they should do now (now that Trump had announced intentions to take over Gaza completely in order to build a landing tower for SpaceX rockets). As mentioned, the decision to toy with the Israelis was rolled back within some hours after the IDF went on high alert in response to what would indeed be an outright obvious break (not just some little infraction) of the ceasefire agreement. Because of that, it's not certain whether this was before, or after, Trump announced that Saturday high noon would be requiring the Islamic Offensive to return ALL remaining hostages, which might number as many as 73. Either way, the Islamic Offensive (located in Gaza) intends to continue to test Trump's patience by continuing this fiasco where one or two or three emaciated hostages are released per week, as they are made to make stupid statements into Al Jazz-ass-a cameras, a media company operating out of Qatar, most likely under the auspices of the government there as an arm of their own Islamic Offensive, which are then twisted into yet more propaganda for the consumption of half the trolls here at EliteTrader. In other news, by exclusively granting Al Jazz-ass-a media rights over the spectacle of hostage releases, the Islamic Offensive (in Gaza, and in Qatar) positions itself to take down any YouTube channel that uses any of its footage to report on the hostage releases (like the channel linked in this post). Apparently, YouTube is cooperating with the Islamic Offensive by striking any channel that Al Jazz-ass-a requests to be stricken, who may use even a few seconds of their exclusive media content coming out of the Islamic Offensive front in Gaza. It remains to be seen if Trumps ultimatum remains in force, or whether the Israeli Knesset decides to maintain course on the very strange release schedule we've seen so far. The Knesset, or at least PM Netanyuhu's cabinet, is meeting several hours ahead of a previously scheduled meeting to address the Islamic Offensive's toying, and Trumps ultimatum. Possibly that meeting has already taken place, but it's not yet widely known what was decided.
The funny or not so funny thing is that when the Saturday deadline comes the hostages may or may not be released (I am going with "may not" for 100 Alex, just some) but you can be sure of one thing if they are not released, ie. the remaining senior leadership of Hamas will be relocated to Qatar by that date.
Here's a decent summary of what's happening, as the King of Jordan (no longer called "Trans" Jordan) has now already met with President Trump of the United States of America at the White House. Of note, this writer also sees the need to blow open the border between Egyption (part of Mohammed's mystic murder machine) and their forward operations base of that part of the Islamic Offensive which goes by the name "Hamas" in Gaza. Yes, a forward operations base, where the fighters, about 80% of all Gazans, are trained from youth to expand the pan-Arab initiative to seize that little portion of the West British Mandate that was given to the returning Jewish diaspora in 1948 by a UN Resolution in a compromise with local Arabs who were given Jerusalem and most of the historically Jewish highlands known as Samaria and Judea. Also notice the King's left eyebrow twitch as he realizes the chickens are coming home to roost, and that the '48 and '67 Islamic offensives have failed to take everything from the river to the sea, and that the fighters left behind on Israeli territory have to be withdrawn.
