Sattelite DSL for trading

    Yes, the wireless DSL is better, heavily encrypted too.

    You could get your data from a one-way satellite connection from BMI or DTN and place trades using dial-up perhaps. One advantage of that is the impossibility of getting hacked by somebody at your data provider since it is only one way. Wow, I never realized it before but you could be entirely hack proof if you got data from satellite and placed trades via telephone. We have to have these little talks more often...

I worked for a company that was getting a data feed on NYSE quotes with the satellite and everytime there was a storm or cloud coverage we would get stale quotes....it happens quite often in florida....we had to swithc t direct connect...i think everything on satelite sucks..for now...give it a few more years.
