I agree. Or the next time someone stabs their ex-wife 36 times and her boyfriend 40 times outside her condo in Brentwood, flys off to Chicago and comes back and drives around on the 405 in a white Bronco with a mountain of freaking evidence saying he is guilty of murder, all I ask is we put this scumbag away for life. But no, we got Paris instead. Hurray for our legal system! Hurray for America!

The title of this thread is misleading. I was looking for some steamy girl-on-girl action. "That's hot!"

  3. OMG, this sounds like a bunch of guys who are members of the Paris Hilton fan club...

Hilton violated her probation, she goes to jail.

    Period.

No special favors. If this was about Rosie O'Fat going to the slammer, the same supporters of Hilton would be cheering her jail sentence.

The entire O.J. issue is a red herring, and has nothing to do with the crimes and punishment of Hilton...

Get over it losers, Paris not going to blow you...

Are you saying we do not have selective prosecution in this country? I thought your friends at the ACLU made a big deal about how we unfairly go after african americans and latinos on drug charges and how they represent a disproportionate amount of inmates in prison? That's not you? Are you sure?

Are you saying it was OK for most of the Enron crooks to get away scott free but yippee, we got Marth Stewart on insider trading. Yeah baby!

Come on Zzz, I'm not at all liberal as you know, but even I will admit justice is not blind in this country nor is it just. Just ask your friends at the ACLU.

I could care less about Paris Hilton. I just think it's funny she is going to jail and yet we can't convict child molesters, murders, wall street crooks and people that the court deems to be insane.

  5. I didn't say justice is equally applied in this country, but that is no justification for Hilton to get off with no punishment.

I think it is actually a positive when a rich dumb socialite is prosecuted, it at least sends a symbolic message that certain people are not above the law. I doubt that murderers would not kill because O.J. went to jail, but perhaps some kids will think twice about acting like a spoiled brat...

The O.J. verdict was a reaction to Rodney King and other well known abuses by the L.A. police department, as well as completely incompetent prosecution...it is a red herring.

The fact that I believe O.J. hacked up his wife and Goldman, has nothing at all to do with Paris Hilton's violation of her probation.

Really, what a dumbass argument the Hilton supporters are making in this thread.

In what reality does one wrong (O.J. going free) make it okay for Hilton not to get punished?

Get a brain...and she ain't ever gonna blow you either. You are stuck with the Paris porn video and some KY...

Zzz, I'm very disappointed in your debating skills. Just when I thought you were becoming more open minded. I never said Paris should not be punished. Like one of the previous posters mentioned, a more appropriate punishment for her would be hard labor and community service.

Instead she is staying at the pseudo holiday inn in a prison where she will be all by herself to write her memoirs in which she will make millions and will be the golden trophy for every late night talk show and possibly an appearance on Oprah describing her life in prison.

Yeah Zzz, your are right, this is really going to teach her a lesson and all the spoiled young kids like her. No Zzz, I think it's the opposite. It shows how sick Hollywood culture really is, that a ticket to rehab and a minor stint in jail, actually leads to greater success in Hollywood and carves out a rough edge that becomes the desire of every director in Hollywood. Mark my words, count the book deals, movie deals, TV show gigs and interviews when she gets out and add up the dollars and tell me who is going to learn from this. Please....

  7. The book deals, Oprah, etc. would come even if she did hard labor and community service, so your point is rendered void...America worships celebrities, and they nearly always get paid after doing time, especially when they cry and say they are sorry...which of course Hilton will do.

You have no legitimate argument that I can see, as the fact that our justice system is not genuinely fair nor concerned with blind justice is not anything revelatory.

Look, most thought she would skate on the probation violation. Something is better than nothing...

Your entire diatribe on the Hollywood culture is the typical right wing BS. Corruption and sickness is not limited to Hollywood...

Damn, if you had half a brain you would figure out that the right wing is just as enamored with actors and fantasy as anyone else, just look at the fawning over bad actors by the right wingers...Fred Thompson, the savior.

    ROTFLMAO...

Your party, the party of George W. Bush...now that's fantasy land if I ever saw it...

America is all about image and false bravado, not substance...and the right wingers are as image conscious and sicko as anyone else.

  9. C'mon, the whole thing was probably planned. She has a creative publicist, who has made this girl millions. She's a no talent, good looking, party girl that's shown big bucks daddy, that she can bring the $$'s in too.

Like it or not, she'll be more famous than ever, when it's over. I can see it now, teenage girls will lined up for blocks to get her autograph when she walks out of jail early.
