Sarah Silverman on Paris Hilton

  1. I think a better punishment would have been to put her in a bright orange suit and make her clean up trash on the 405 for 8 hours a day 30 days...but what is the usual punishment? If Ca is willing to enforce this for EVERYONE, fine....think about how many young punks they stop that are driving with a suspended license or No license at all????

  2. Your experience does not qualify as a generalization for drunk driving. She is getting off easy comparing to what happens to most people caught drunk driving. And unlike her, they often cannot afford the insurance surcharges, the court fines and the suspended license.

It's far from absurd, she got off relatively easy, especially considering that financial penalties mean absolutely nothing. She actually has a lawyer and a legal team, she will get special treatment in jail (money talks & so do lawyers) and then she will go on to open her stupid mouth about her "horrifying" experience for about a year. Don't be surprised by an early release due to good behavior.

Maybe you are in love with her or smth, but in my opinion, she deserves zero respect and zero attention. I don't even find her attractive, that anorexic look does not do it for me, neither does her use of makeup. I would like to see her get the treatment that the poor people in NJ get, like being thrown into jail for 3 months pending a judge's review, and sometimes being left there indefinitely.

She is getting standard treatment, period. Yes it varies among the common folk, but last I heard (and I dont drive) getting caught drunk driving is not a joking matter. Especially when it's not ur first offense.

As a final thought, if Paris Hilton was to dissapear off the Earth, the world would be a better place. As harsh as it sounds, sadly, this is the truth.

P.S. And come on, you are talking about California of all places. The prison complex state (along with Texas). If you are a certain skin color and live in a certain urban area, you can get locked up for 1-2 years just for being out in the street during a "sweep". Let alone driving while drunk.

  3. Because they DONT LIKE HER. Or what she represents or what stands for and even her completely undeserved social/financial status. Maybe it's not fair, but it's human nature.

  4. Sorry man...Been there and done that...it is NOT standard treatment...and no , I made it clear she is an air headed jack ass in my opinion, but this is absurd treatment that is not standard.

  5. Have you seen the south park episode about her?..

I feel a little bad for Paris because she grew up never learning how to do anything. Shame on her parents, and you'd think someone who comes from that kind of successful background would care. Guess not. Paris has made news 5 times to my knowledge..1) for losing her stupid ass dog 2) for having her cell phone hacked 3) for making a porn film, 4) Having problems with nichole richie and Lindsay lohan, and 5) going to jail. Despite this, millions of girls want to be like her...WHY?!..wtf??..god I hope my sisters dont look up to her. All of this has made her more famous, and she'll quickly get over it.

  6. Lucrum

    Lucrum

I'm sure it varies from one facility to the next. In my limited experience you had two choices, plain white or nothing at all.

  7. Like I said, you are one person. I sat in NJ court on a few occasions and heard the cases & sentences handed out. I do not know how it is in California, but what she got was nothing out of the ordinary. Correct me if I am wrong, but she was on probation. And she did not comply with the terms of her probation, on top of actually violating by driving, let alone the speeding and headlights part (danger to society, just maybe???). Sounds like everything is done by the book. After all, that is what probation is all about. If you violate it, you go to jail. Can't get any more fair than that. She is getting a short sentence, she should really get 90 days.

She is, in fact, getting off easy, cause she blatantly disobeyed the rules. See, the cases I saw, people were driving on suspended licenses cause they had to drive to work. Their livelyhoods depended on it. They pled with the judge but he did not give a sh*t. Their fines were double if not triple of hers, and this was almost a decade ago.

This spoiled little brat got a slap on the wrist for her drunk driving and completely ignores it. It's not like her livelyhood depends on driving, she is loaded beyond belief and could have easily avoided this by using one of her personal chauffers.

  8. Well I know Ca. law as well...I was stopped in Redondo Beach..They asked me for my license....I told them i didn't have one...they asked " why not"? I told them it was suspended in NY...They gave me a field sobriety test and when I passed they gave me a ticket for going the wrong way down a one way street......I never paid ticket either!...what a joke...all i ask is that if they are going to throw her in for 45 days for this, start enforcing ALL codes...this way the next time some punk breaks into your car, instead of being out on the street in 12 hours, his ass will be in Prison for a year!....the next time somebody has a joint or a gram of coke...One f-ing year!!!

Michael Jackosn gives wine and blow jobs to a child and he got what??????

  10. You right..

    The power of the media.

The same media that Bush say "ride along with us on shock and awe and we will call you embedded reporters and you just tell things our way" and the same media convinced most of the U.S.A that saddam had WMD's and not to mention he ordered those planes into the WTC that over 70% of dumb ass's believed.

Yep, the power of the media.
