Sarah Palin won't speak with an investigator hired by lawmakers to look into the firing of her public safety commissioner. McCain campaign spokesman Ed O'Callaghan told a news conference Monday that the governor, the Republican nominee for vice president, will not cooperate as long as the investigation "remains tainted." He said he doesn't know whether Palin's husband would challenge a subpoena issued to compel his cooperation. The campaign insists the investigation has been hijacked by Democrats. It says it can prove Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was fired because of insubordination on budget issues - not because he refused to fire a state trooper who had divorced Palin's sister.
I suppose you find it impossible that the investigation is being pushed by Democrats eh? My understanding is that they don't have authority to do the investigation. OldTrader
Nothing is impossible, but if she has nothing to hide, and this has been an ongoing issue for her for a long time, and her husband is ignoring an existing subpoena, I'd think she'd want to clear things up ASAP.
Just in: The Panel that is investigating 'TrooperGate' is completely bi-partisan, and Palin gave her word she'd cooperate in every sense of the word. So, she's a liar.
