I wish there was some local organization like Daytraders of Orange County. Supposedly, DTOC (aka Daytraders USA) have a branch in SF, but it seems to be inactive? Anyone know more about this?
i doubt that there's enough of a critical mass in the bay area to sustain something like dtoc - a group big enough to attract speakers. it's easy enough to set up a group on yahoo but would it be worth the effort? i can see the advantage of a local group (e.g., for book loans) but there seems to be very limited interest.
OK, let's see if anyone will share a little more detail. I'm trading out of scenic Richmond (don't laugh, I have a beautiful bay view from my deck and we haven't had a toxic cloud in weeks). I've been trading over 2 years. I trade the QQQ using IB and eSignal. Mark
Hi Mark- I'm in the Bay Area as well. I have a place in SF, but I trade from Alameda. I trade the QQQ as well. In fact that is pretty much all I've been trading for months now. I use TS6. PM me if you would like to maybe throw some ideas around. I don't really mind talking during Mkt. hours either. Since I typically only take 3-4 round trips per day on the Qs. Shorted from the top @25.60 this morning. Been adding to this position. I take pretty small positions. Typically 1k share size. I would be very interested in talking to another Q trader. -momo
