i was just wanting to get some numbers on what it cost to live in san diego? i have heard it is a great city to live in. currently i am in atlanta, but would love to eventually get out there. anything yall have for me would be great.
Cost of living is insane....well...the property is. Cost of P.O.S. one bed room apt, $1200-$1400/month. Cost of tiny tiny tiny house near beach: $900,000 Cost of room you can rent in a decent home you share with the owners: $900/month. Living in one of the most beautiful places in the country, with the best weather, activities, and chock full of super models in thongs: Priceless Watching your friends get shot down by women with more attitude than anywhere in the country: Priceless squared peace axeman
but O'side is still relatively cheap considering its a "beach town"...im trying to snatch up some properties there before the turn around is complete for the city. This is my first post and I am a novice that is ready to trade for a living, I know what i want...and that to trade, make money, looking at the beach from my desk! Elite Trader is a great site full of info and inspiration and I thank all you guys here for the storys!
what about the trading hours. do you get accustomed to it after a while? is it just great being off at 1. do you find any disadvantage of being up this early and having to make your living? thanks.
I love it (so far). Im 28 and love to surf and with the beach bieng 50 yds away i can even sneak in an hour in the morning after the first hour or two of action. Getting done by 1pm leaves you much time to enjoy the rest of the day...just need to hit the sack a bit earlier and put the partyuing on the shelves till the weekend. GO PADRES!
(what about the trading hours. do you get accustomed to it after a while? is it just great being off at 1. do you find any disadvantage of being up this early and having to make your living? thanks.)) I live in the Orange County area. It's about half way between Los Angeles and San Diego. Trading hours are great for me. It fits my sleeping pattern. I usually get up early to prepare, researching, reading etc. The day ends at 1:00 pm unless you hang around for A H trading. Also I think the prices quoted in one of the messages about about property in San Diego are way way to high. There are plenty of apts. for under a thousand, and plenty of houses, nice houses for 200 and 300K. If you haven't been here come for a visit. Do some research on the NET about prices etc. Good luck Don
Growing up in a beach house in Del Mar, I can vouch for that. Even when it wasn't my money.....it was SOOOO easy to pull the hotties with that house. Chicks dig the coin....no matter how old they are. and Donkell, it is true you can find property in that price range. But only in the neighborhoods a lot of people would not want to live in.
I am not saying it's not more expensive out here, but come on 900K for average house. I just sold a big 5 bedroom in Huntington Beach for a bit over 500K and am living in a 2 bedroom in Costa Mesa (next city over) for 1300. Both my house and this apartment are in very good areas. I will add if you want to live right on the beach, those prices are probably more reflective of living on the sand. Don
right about location. Even within the same city limits. My grandmother just had her 5 bedroom, also in HB but on the Harbor, appraised at 2.75 mil. Although very similar, I do believe SD is higher than OC. My friend just sold his 3 bdrm condo in Mission Valley (not close to being beach prop) for 379K. But I agree your #'s are closer than the 900K for an average house.
