Yes, but liberals cannot grandstand in the Chicago scenario. Only when a national media event occurs can they attempt to impose their viewpoints with a "see, this is what happens when you live like this" comment.

Don't disagree. But how do you suppose those folks have "ready access to guns" when gun laws are so strict!

Auto accidents are thought of as a necessary but evil risk, while school shootings are not.

  6. Conspicuously absent is a solution.

impulsive behavior; poor self-regulation; living in homes that don’t nurture social, emotional or academic skills; and ready access to guns

These dynamics do not convert well to math. You see, if we could convert the dynamics into a math formula we could leave out the systemic problem, parenting, responsibility, values, etc.

If you can't use math, then we have to address human behavior "as is"and invariably this would lead to a "cultural problem" a "black problem".

Every human shortcoming is laid at the altar of poverty to avoid the "real" problem and TPTB allocate money to solve this issue, which misses the point.

Well, if we could "tax the rich" maybe then this wouldn't have happened.

I'm inclined to agree, and the "cars kill people" argument isn't really apples to apples, since people aren't usually intentionally trying to run others over.
