This is horrible. Their bars are not even keeping up with the real time what's happening. I have to manually reset, then the bars don't even correspond to the buy and sell actual prices. Their simulator SUCKS. Abandon, batman. Will switch to small real trades per yalls suggestions. Another thread.
I agree for learning how to use the software properly, using a sim is fine. But emotions create action both good and bad. He needs to learn how to trade. Losing real money is one of the biggest motivators to putting in real work. Right now this guy is just starting 100 threads a day asking others how to do it. He needs to just do it, lose money and adjust. It's an iterative process. A long one that that....
Indeed, no disagreement, just reliable used of platform must become a subconscious competence. Some can genuinely trust their method after Sim, some can't. I was fortunate I was confident in mine nature/nurture. I would suggest to him instead of many small posts, annotate the chart at the end. I teach a university class (for tax reasons) and the ones who provide a clean easily followed chart always do well. Not for DOM of course but if chart based it drills it in better. And people like reading the journal perhaps.
Make sure you are on a cable, not Wifi to test that again. Some platforms have issues in fast markets, network latency can affect them also. Ninjatrader 8 for example is a horror for that. Just ask in the specific platform threads. It will come right in a week.
I guess what I'm thinking about is when I can draw a line right above and below the price levels of at least 3 of the candle boxes (probably more) and those lines are pretty steeply sloped upwards or downwards. The details are in the eye of the beholder, of course. I'm all ears!
