Sorry if this seems like a job spam but honestly its not, I'm just looking for what companies are willing to pay someone doing the following: XYZ is looking for a individual to manage various components of the real time Equites and Options trading environment. These systems currently handle 6-10% of the NYSE volume. Day to day tasks include setting up new instances of the application, setting up application monitoring, migrating application to production, coordinating and testing infrastructure upgrades w/ SA, DBA and networking teams to ensure peak performance for latency sensitive systems, coordinating releases w/ the business and training them where appropriate. Must have strong Linux (or unix) skills especially shell/PERL scripting. Ideal candidate is strong in many/all of the following topics: middleware (esp Tibco), networking, system administration
This seems like a fairly standard system admin job. Look at monster.com in whatever city/state the job is located in and look under "system administrator".
