Saki's Forex Reversal Journal

  1. having failed to post the last two signals on Euro I feel the urge to get back on track and keep posting like I did before for each signal.

There have been a few developments in my view of the markets this past month. Perhaps the most important is the discovery that there are a small minority of traders who use seasonal biases to determine their directional trades. I thought this was a pursuit of stock investors who bought and sold based on the superbowl outcome or the presidential elections. But the results are outstanding for these patterns. They are consistently accurate. To the tune of 85% year after year. Check out Mrci.com. This has to be one of the best secrets in trading.

With this in mind I have gone long GBP/CHF until December as there is a seasonal bias for the spread between these two currencies to favor GBP from the end of October into the end of the year.

    Buy GBP/CHF 2.2833

    And my conventional system says:
    Buy Eur/Usd 1.1990 Limit 1.2050 Stop 1.1957

  2. exit half euro +60

will buy some more gbp/chf soon

  3. Buy GBP/CHF 2.2712, 2.2830

    #363     Nov 2, 2005
  4. exit half GBP/CHF 2.2810 +98

    #364     Nov 3, 2005
  5. exit second half GBP/CHF 2.2890 +60 willl not swing this one for the next two months, no way.

also learned something about seasonal spreads, they are extremely volatile!

not to mention that my ignorance almost cost me a fortune. The seasonal factor is for the SPREAD to narrow in favor of GBP over CHF. This has very little to do with the actual currency spot rate. In fact, over the last few years GBP/CHF has actually gone down signifigantly from October to December. If anything, one should be short the cross now, not long.

    dodged a bullet there...

  7. You want to know my opinion on the only currency I have posted losses on this year? Have you read my journal at all? lol

According to my swing system USD/CHF is a hold, short term sell with longs again reinstated 100 pips lower. Let's see if Saki gets it right this time.

I fell asleep after a couple of your postings, my friend. :p Maybe you should go in the opposite direction for USDCHF.
