Sadly there are MAGAs who don't deserve to be in this country legally either...

Most likely, the police want the phone to look at the time of the call, and who he was calling. This info could help corroborate his story.

Well it appears that Smollett’s claim that he was talking to his manager on the phone at the time of the crime is falling apart when the police looked at the phone records according to some online.

I will wait for confirmation of this assertion by proper sources before taking a stance on it. However as the entire situation evolves there are more and more inconsistencies.

TMZ has been on top of this more than anybody. They said he was giving them the phone records.Im waiting for them to confirm if they match or not.

For the record I stayed out of this discussion because my bullshit detector went off when reading his claims.I just chimed in because I can understand someone not wanting to give thier phone to strangers to examine.A lot of personal shit can be on a persons phone.

That's a legit reason for not giving it up, all things considered. Hadn't thought of that. Score one for Tony.

So can all the text messages describing the plans to file a false crime report.

You have to ask why the police would be asking for his phone if they believed his story.

  6. Don't know. The cops are just trying to cover all the angles. I was just saying that Tony made a good point. Giving up his phone could do him more harm than good, perhaps in a totally unconnected way. Phone aside, it seems like a total fabrication at this point considering the complete lack of supporting evidence.

Or they could go on a fishing expedition trying to nail him on something unrelated

You really do have to ask why the police would be asking for his phone

  8. This is why I posted the story and said I am not sure if this is fully true since I cannot trust any news anymore...

Why ask for the phone? To corroborate his accusations. Not uncommon in completing basic police work related to such a ‘crime’.

Why not give it up? Because the timelines are bullshit and be probably has a ton of blueprints on there leading to his crime of the century.

Bottom line (with high probability) is that It’s just another fucking lie from a MAGA hating activist.
