Yes, and as outlined previously the IOC framework basically says that whatever gender you claim you are we believe you are --- because we don't want to offend anyone by misgendering them

The IOC did ZERO gender tests at the recent 2024 Paris Olympics despite protests that some biologically male athletes competed as females. Some of these athletes previously competed as males (e.g. see the Zambia female soccer team).

This is what was fundamentally wrong with the recent summer Olympics; it under-minded female athletics on a global basis and put back the advances made by women for decades.

I know you are hot on this issue simply because Trump and his associates have been criticizing the two boxers. However you should think of this from a much broader level on how unfair allowing biological males to identify as females and compete in women's sports is. It undermines all the progress that has been made by women.

Great, you aren't happy with IOC framework which you read in few minutes, let's see the independent labs framework you were boasting about.

    Where is it?

There was plenty of media coverage around the summer Olympics about the complete inadequacy of the IOC testing framework. You can go read it all online.

So tell us again -- how did the IOC test for the gender of an athlete when the gender was disputed at the 2024 Summer Olympics? Oh wait, they didn't. Not one single test.

All I asked you is to provide the testing procedures by the IBA.

And all you do is deflect a simple request with deflection and counter questions.

Just admit, you have no idea how IBA tested athletes but you believe it because you are biased to believe it.

As explained earlier -- the independent labs have testing procedures. The IBA does not do testing hence it does not have testing procedures. The national boxing organizations (not the IBA) refers athletes for testing.

This is not about bias -- it is about providing female athletes with proper opportunities to compete where they are not forced to compete against biological males with XY chromosomes.

If a country -- like Zambia -- can simply send biological males to the Olympics and have them compete as females -- and the IOC takes no measures to stop it or do testing -- then this completely undermines female athletics. I will note that these biological male soccer players have already been banned by the appropriate FIFA association from competing as females -- yet the IOC allowed them to do it. I will note that FIFA and other sport regulatory authorities use the same exact independent testing labs as the IBA.

You said that already, what are these procedures, how do I know if they are any good given that IOC rejected them and IBA is run by Russians.

You do not know these procedures but you are willing to trust some Russians unlike on other things because it suits your bias.

The IOC did not reject the procedures. They put a framework in place that effectively stated they would not perform any testing procedures in place because they did not want to "misgender" anyone. This is the exact opposite of properly regulating sports.

The IBA, FIFA, and other sports associations use well-respected independent testing labs. The tests are ordered by the national associations hosting the event rather than the international organizations. The international organizations only get involved when there is any dispute with testing results. The head of the IBA is currently Russian; the organization is not "ran by Russians"; there is representation from many countries on the oversight board and in the executive ranks. The issues with the IBA involved financial accountability (i.e. where was the money going), not their oversight of boxing at a policy level.

Again, where are the IBA procedures? You keep calling these independent labs without naming them. How about you iname them so I can lookup their respectability?

The current IBA head is a Russian who was whining about the person in question because a Russian lost against her - that doesn't sound very independent.

We already have addressed the issue about the claim that an 'unbeaten" Russian lost again Khelif. This Russian lost in an earlier round in the tournament -- and was not in contention to get a medal out of any decision changes.

The actions of the national association hosting the tournament in regards to the results of the gender test from the independent lab had nothing to do with the Russian boxer.

Here is the timeline and the facts from the IBA -

Here is a Reddit thread that provides more information and details including links plus some vigorous debate -

As with most International Sports Federations - the IBA follows the World Athletes Eligibility Regulations for Female Classification (Athletes with Differences of Sex Development) guidelines. DSD is the situation which applies to these two boxers.
