Do you always use the extended hours chart for the BB method instead of the regular hours chart? I've been experimenting with both and I'm not sure which is better. Yes, this morning, the reg hours chart didn't trigger that first long that K-rock took.
4re - With ES hitting 1269.25 in pre-market this morning, this didn't cause you to rethink taking the long at 1269? I'm glad it worked out for you, I'm just curious why you didn't move your breakout level to a bit higher than 1269.25.
Using the BB's you would have gone long at 9:00 right about the time institution buying kicked in. I don't use the pre market for much at all. That is why I didn't care that it went up to 69.25. That being said I have and will enter the pre market if my numbers come up. I hate doing it though. I don't get up and watch the pre market that much though. 4re
4re - Sorry, I meant that you always have your 15 min BB chart set for 24 hour prices instead of 9:30 to 4:15, not whether you take pre-market trades. I agree about avoiding pre-market trades. Have you looked at using a BB chart with only regular hour trading and found 24 hours is better? Thanks. Sandy
I use one-tick charts for both the NQ and ES. Edit: In case I'm misunderstanding your question, I use the one-tick chart to fine-tune the entry. The charts I use to plot S/R use volume bars.
