One of my immediate family members is going through a health crisis, don't know whether that is the right expression, so I can not devote a lot of time to posting. I don't take offence at negative posters, as I don't know anyone here. I share with others what I do, pretty much real-time and finish every single call that I make. I don't post after the trade's been completed, as I find little value to myself (and others) in doing so, I could do it of course as I don't announce every single trade that I make. My advice to others trying to break into trading is to post real-time from A-Z, real or virtual, you have to be obligated to manage the trade from start to finish by calling entry and exit and stop, no excuses, as it is as close to real life scenario as one can get, forget hindsight analyses and/or virtual accounts to train your psych, real-time calls (complete) should provide good foundation for future trade management.

According to some, I've "puked" a long trade recently, you know, all I can say is that I'm LMAO, only I would know what is a puke and what isn't, unless I tell you my TC, which I pretty much have done already.

  3. ...when we move stops backwards, run like a crawfish backwards, we lose money most everytime........and when we use mental stops we crawfish .....back the stop up more as trade goes against us.......we can only lose big money because we have a weak system or we have a good system and don't operate it properly or we don't know how to set the stops properly or all of the above...i use the term "safe stops" if they are not "safe from stopout" trade will be bad anyway and i don't want to be there anyway...initial stop setting is a fine art...always setting a big loose stop is not smart unless u have a very and i mean veryhigh percentage system..........never deceive yourself and trailing is somewhat unnecessary once u arrive......scaling out is better than trailing...... .. ..eminis daytrading.....i have lost too many times...this is not personal criticism......this is true stuff..... if this is too brutally honest.....not sorry, think about it.....

First I would like to comment on the puking thing. If that was considered puking then fine we have all done the same thing. The deal is none of us have 100% accuracy in our trades, none of us. I personally would consider puking as trading without a stop either a set stop or a mental stop and once you get so far under water you have no other choice but to flatten all. I have said before I almost blew my account once like this. Since I don't think this was your case the other day I would not consider it a puke. It was a busted trade.

I to have taken several trades without posting them. Today I was short on time and took 2 trades that I did not post. I would not have even mentioned them except that you said you d the same thing sometimes. The only reason I did it today was that up until then I had 2 busted trades this week and I wanted to be at breakeven if possible tomorrow and I really didn't have much time because of phone calls and meetings. I do feel a certain obligation to the posters on this journal to be as forthcoming on my trades as possible but sometimes I have to take a quickie when possible. I try to post all of them but today was kind of a special circumstance.

    Romik,

I hope that your family member gets better. Best wishes on his/her recovery.

Also, best of luck in your trading. Reading your below post and some of your earlier posts, I have the feeling that you know what you are doing although it may seem contrarary to a lot of people. You have my respect.

I will say something. This thread has a lot of people with maturity and wisdom. Although at times there are all the arguements etc but most of it was done in good faith to readers and posters. I find myself learning more than just trading here. Certainly 1 of the best threads in ET and not just on trading.

    Gary,

You are not getting paid to do anything here. You are doing this out of the kindness of your heart although I believe you do gain something in return be it just friendly banter to wild away a boring day etc. Your trading should take priority over any posting etc. Whether you choose to post your trades or not, this thread is filled with gems that many of us will find useful. Pls concentrate first on your trading and businesses and not about posting here. I'm sure that others would want that too.

    TQ,

Sad to see you go. Best of luck.

Even if you did not mention any of your trades, I've grown to sorta like you. Your concern about traders and especially Gary do shine through and I've learned some things (both trading and non-trading related) from you as well especially those exchanges you have with Gary. Also, when the day gets bored, you do provide some entertainment I might add.

Perhaps, 1 day you will come back under another handle.

Yes, I know. But I still feel a certain amount of responsibility anyway. Same way I hate it when I post S/R numbers and they fail. A failed trade might piss me off but if others took that trade somehow I feel a certain amount of pain for them also. That is why I could never do a paid trading room. Well that and the lawsuits.

Anyway I just want you guys to know that I do try to be as honest and forthcoming as possible in regards to the trades I take as possible. And believe it or not with the way I trade, doing all this posting does not affect performance.

Sorry I am so late with my numbers for today. Last night my son had a baseball game and this season they are longer than we are used to. I was dead when we got home. So I waited until this morning to do my charting.

    Anyway here they are.

    Long 1332.50 - 1339

    Short 1325.00 - 1322.75

    Have a good trading day,
    Gary
