The level I marked had been taken out by the big up move. Your chart was and still correct. Good job.
Awesome. That was in my thought process, too, from the last chart I posted where there was an upmove that took out a level I wanted to trade, but you corrected me there. Thanks again, Gary! You, and this thread, rock!
gary 4 re, U used a word of warning to princessa...cockiness.....ego is the deal.......she is not experienced enough to understand if she is playing for real with comments......but u see what happened to those who go arrogant about their trading.......poof.....the market smoked them apparently....it is a human trait that is hard to avoid and overcome......ego....arrogance...i am smarter than the rest attitude...i have done all of that more than a few times.....the oly book i ever read was mark douglas trading in the zone.....it explains all of thos e traps and why we have psychological weaknesses that trap us as traders.....fantastic book.......bottom line for me is now to take all signals that i have confidence in.....there are 2 of them only after almos t 6 yrs of work .......they are all i say they are......and more.......but they are earned......your approach is good for you......most it won't work because they will not have the discipline to oonly take the signals proven to be the prime entry signals....and not enough action as they wait for few signals....by the rules, with discipline.......i personally want me to be out of trade....no thinking allowed as system does the thinking for me.......forum is weakening as the market moves on its merry way, it doesn't know that we are here..........when the anomaly day/event/bar foils the system don't change the system....once u r there
Looks like we have hit a major resistance level and bounced off. I am not sure at this point if it will mark the end of this rally or not at this point. The important thing to keep in mind is to stay market neutral.
that is what i mean by don't think if u have a mechanical system.....let the system think for you.....is that what u mean by market neutral
one must always know the difference between daytrading and position/longer term trading.....they are not kin to each other.......
While I understand what you are getting at I still believe every individual deserves the benefit of the doubt as to whether they make it or fail in this business. I don't think you/I/we should judge whether someone will make it. I am sure if I said that everybody would fail at this I would be right more times than wrong but I don't need to be right that bad. Besides you never know you might be talking to the next Dan Zanger of eminis.
