rverheyen, Thank you for this info. Do they regulate how many can be in there at one time? Please fill me in on all the details. Gary
They don't give specific pricing on the site, but they offer a 10-day free trial. I have used it before as an attendee as well and liked it alot. Due to the amount of interest in your thread and s/r levels it might be the best option seeing how it can handle a lot of people being in the room. If you would like to use it I will pm you with some more info and try to help you set it up. disclaimer - i am in no way affiliated with omnovia, if anybody else has other options feel free to chime in.
I think paltalk is better. Not really sure about Omnivia as I can't remember whether I've used it before. I have used paltalk before. The main speaker can talk and type and the others can choose to talk or just type. Better than skype where we can talk also but not type. At least with the ability to type, we can scroll back to what others have said and keep a copy of the important trading notes. For Skype, we will have trouble if everybody starts talking at once. Very difficult based on my little experience with Skype. This is weird. I was just thinking the other day of Texan twang and now I am going to hear a Texan twang. 6th sense?
The free version of paltalk ony can handle voice and chat. No video. No password blocking the room either. Premium version can handle password, video,... I'm not an expert either but willing to investigate more. If you are going to tutor, maybe you can record the sessions as well for people who missed it or new people.
Good call............that was a perfect set-up for LONG entries........ http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/11/ES_317_VB_6.png
