Yes, we specialize in long term Ambulatory EEG's. We do these in the patients home because most seizure patients get their drivers license taken away. Hospitals can't give that kind of service so most of the Neurologist in Dallas use my service to take care of their ambulatory EEG's. I also do a lot of neuro-muscular testing as well. For carpel tunnel syndrome all the way up to ALS (Lou Gerrigs Disease). Some OR monitoring during back and brain surgery.
t day is the day that 10:30 means a 100% chance of turn in market. according to Jim...i mean volente.....it is right a lot of the time....so are 9 10 11 12 1 2 ........and the 1/2 hrs on all of them.......when times become irrelevant to your trading and your system gives every good entry and filters all the bad, then you have an edge. even before 9 is okay but watch the different i n bar size before 9 and the 8:30 to 9 wild ride more times than not..........that is a fact for 5 almost 6 yrs....emini's provide plentry of opportunities 9 to 3........cst...4re, volente, tqpg time.......enough to take our money. this is weekend so please don't attack me as forum killer......i am not arguing or messing with 4re's project. His system is consistent and simple and it works most of the time. He is a real deal guy and is smarter than most of the rocket scientist traders including tqpg....yours truly....
Thanks 4re and tradequicker. 4re, Dallas reminds me of the show 'Dallas' on tv, the one starring Bobby Ewing, Larry Hagman etc. Guess the younger generation may not know the show. Belavia, Keep the questions coming. From 4re's explanations on the pennant break yesterday, I will be looking whether I can use it as a strategy for myself. Thanks 4re for this.
Ksonsinc, Don't worry about your question. You aren't even close to me in not knowing ES. I was looking at ES yesterday trying to follow 5P and I didn't know why my ES chart had different numbers from what 5P mentioned as a crucial level. It took me a long time to figure out that I was looking at the new contract (dec) whereas 5P was mentioning the old contract (sept). This is what happens when you try to understand what someone is saying when you are trading different instrument. I'm trying to absorb their knowledge and applying them to stocks
A mechanical system is just that, mechanical. It is designed to enter or exit a position based upon certain conditions. Much like a F1 car is designed to race around Brands hatch, its suspension and gearing are designed to suit those conditions of the track . When they take that car to Subang in Malaysia a totally new set of parameters are designed into the car. If they didn't do that on a continual basis, the teams results would be poor on one track and good on another, get my point? Now, I am not saying forget about using a mechanical system, I am not. I use a mechanical system that catches small movements in the market, 1 - 8 pips. I need a mechanical system to give me the discipline to enter and exit, but it doesn't suit all market conditions. In fact it hates slow trending markets, an experienced un emotional trader will recognize this and change parameters to suit the conditions so they can capitalize on them, the same way they change their position sizing based upon price action after some market moving fundamental news comes out. Very few of us can do this on a regular basis, if you can your days will be filled with profits. Remember, a craftsman does not use a hammer to drive a screw in, leave that to the Yorkshire man.
No problem Bill. You and Belavia ought to do some chatting together since both of you are looking into trading some stocks. I was working with Belavia yesterday with some chartpatterns on several stock charts. The more I can do this with you guys the more I might be able to understand my method of trading in relation to daytrading stocks. I have traded stocks and still look at some of the charts for practice more than anything but I never daytraded stocks per se. I did more long term positions using the daily charts. It really isn't that different though. The only thing is when I trade the ES I have a point target and that is kind of tricky with stocks. I was able to pick out the flag breakout of WMT yesterday but I don't know how far I would have traded it. I think it went about 25 or 26 cents after the breakout. Hopefully this will help you guys just remember a chart is a chart and TA is the same on all of them.
Nothing could be more true and it is perfect for trading. If you are using a mechanical system and at the end of every month your account is going up. I say stick to it. Go for the probabilities and just let it do its magic. That is why I try to trade my method as mechanical as possible
LOL...thanks TQ but I am not even close to being a smart man. Just simple enough to trade systematically. And hopefully smart enough to put my clothes on the right way.
