We do have a couple of news items coming shortly that could do something in the market. Other than that today is going to be BORING....
Yeah, I know, but discipline ... I don't believe that FOMC Call days, Half-Days, Pre-Week Holidays, Bullish pre 4th of July Week effect, Dog Days of August, Thanksgiving Day Sale blow-off, December Effect, etc. etc. etc. should affect whether a trader enters a trade, or not. Most guys would say "I'm wrong", but that's OK. I've seen a lot of traders make exceptions to their methodology based on all the criteria that I've listed above, and more. My goal in trading is to implement my methodology as consistently as possible (as if I were automated trading). I honestly believe that this is part of the "edge" that mymini discovered, and along with a great money management algorithm (which I have yet to figure out) he was able to produce realtime results that were extraordinary. So without the MM, I should be able to at least produce results that are "good" (in this game that's still in the top 5 %). Best, JJ
I usually trade most of those days also. If there is volume and good movement I trade it. But today I think I would fall asleep waiting for a movement. So far the most excitement I have seen was reading the sports section in the paper. And there isn't any sports news either.
Bwahahah , I almost forgot, I had planned over the weekend on watching Bruce Lee in "Game of Death" today classic, classic!, thanks for reminding me!! Late, JJ
