Hey Thunder: As I can see you are still visiting this sand box where kids are playing with their imaginary friends. Funny, isn't it?
My shit stinks, oh boy does it stink. I'm reminded of that every time my spouse enters the bathroom after I use it.
I have worked for 4 banks during my banking career. All of them referred to thousands as M in abbreviated form and millions as MM. Go figure.
Thank you for your invaluable contribution to the thread. I never worked for a bank, so I say 300 million as $300M. Go figure.
It's because banks use roman numeral designations. English measure uses K for 1,000 and M for 1,000,000.
No need to get snippy again. I was merely offering a bit of insight after your snippy response to the fellow who used M and MM in his post. Your use of K amd M makes sense, but that is not how banks refer to those numbers in their internal reports, at least not where I worked. So you're both right, depending on your perspective.
Again? Did I miss something? I have no need to ever get snippy w anyone who keeps marketmoronsurfer in his place. Good work!
