S&P rating question.

Discussion in 'Trading' started by noob_trad3r, Nov 9, 2009.

  1. What the heck does fair value mean. ie: S&P could give a stock a 12 month rating of 20 dollars on a stock trading for 17 but then give on the same analyst sheet a fair value of 22 dollars?

how the heck are all these things correlated.

    so the report would say

    12 month target 20
    fair value 22

  2. It's nothing more than perpetual, optimistically-biased, propaganda. Don't take it "seriously".
