How does an index exhibit support/resistance anyhow?

It's simply a product of a calculation, no?

I understand the psychologically in effect on one equity's price movement.

What has the greater effect? Trading in S&P futures or the constituent equities?

Many thanks. Did you really think it would be any other way?

I love the way the stooges were ready to swoop, and then got clobbered. Silence is golden!

Like I said, resistance 1280-1290. Thanks for showing everyone my golden post, bozo.

Finally, finally rendick makes a market related "call", and it's not a bad one at that.

You got lucky thorn, but either you had no position like you claim or you spent all day underwater on a 1280 short. We still will see 1300 in August so I suggest you move your resistance prediction before it it too late. Had a great day myself.

There once was a bear, who only knew how to short, which worked ok sometimes , but he let his ego get to him, and it blew him up so he changed his alias 4 different times on ET as he shorted from 1150 up to 1326. The end.

Judging from your response, you must have sat on dead money all day long. Next I predict..... Thorn sees massive resistance at 1300-1310.
