S&P Futures 10 deep?

Is that a new change?

 

It went into effect June 1st. I don't see it on my DOM though. Its still 5 x 5.

So whats the point? How will this effect trading? Whats the cme trying to accomplish? Just wondering..

 

I guess more market transparency..

 

I wonder if this will thin out the book as people try to game the extra levels shown. At the same time making it more choppy than it already is.. yikes.

 

Add this to the decrease in liquidity from the Obama tax on Prop Traders on the CBOT & CME floor guys and we've got a disaster in the making.
