  1. Yes indeed I did.

Got out of the 5 contracts at 1278 today, for a profit of 11.5 points per contract, or $2,875 total.

    Running realized profit now $62,700.00.

Flat with no positions as of now.

  2. Short 5 contracts at 1281.50 after the market close (overnight globex). Looking for a target (have limit order in) for 1271.50 for a 10 point gain.

Planning to add at 1290 and then at 1300. Stopping out on a close above 1306.25.

  3. Wow, what a day. Added 5 short at 1291.50 and then 10 at 1299.50 after we couldn't break through 1300. Average is now 1293.00, being short 20 contracts. Looking for a new ultimate target of 1280, and might take half off at about 1286.50. Only limit order in is to buy 10 at 1280.00.

  5. Thanks GermanTrader. Just opened up my platform to find my order to buy 10 was indeed filled at 1280.00 this evening. Profit of 13 points, or $6,500 total.

Still short 10 from 1293.00 average and downside target on those remaining 10 are to have 5 off at 1275.00 and the last 5 off at 1273.00.

Running realized profit is $69,200.00 and unrealized running $7,375.00.

Also as a note: Hope that anyone being effected by Hurricane Gustav is OK and safe!

  6. Got 5 more off at 1275.00 for profit of $4,500 and another 5 off at 1273.00 for profit of $5,000, or $9,500 total.

Total running realized profit is now $78,700.00.

Flat with no position. Might think about getting long around 1265~. Currently putting a limit to buy at 1270.00 to start, 10 contracts.

  7. Great trading, and nice journal.

To help put the profits and trade quantities in perspective, can you tell us what the starting account size was, roughly?

    Thanks.

  8. I have been keeping these trades in my floor clearing account (same account I daytrade lean hogs on the floor with) with RCG and it is fairly capitalized.

I generally withdraw from it every week (salary) and right now it stands at around $300,000.00 and withdrawals usually keep it around that amount. Not only does this satisfy the margin requirement of the ES contracts (max. around 20) and the potential max stop size of 20 pt. swings that I have on this, but the overnight hog positions that carryover (which can range from 0 to 50 contracts) and the cattle/hog/grain spreads I have. It basically is an "all-in-together" trading account.

    Amazing results so far FutureRx.

Are you still also trading lean hogs? If so, how well are those trades going?
