  1. Rubberbird,

this is the ONLY thing i'm interested in:

I will prove that I can beat Rubberbird. I will use a sleeping account of mine to trade. I don’t want to give up my privacy, so I don’t want to show my actual trading account. It’s nobody’s business to know how long I’m trading and how much (or how little) money there is on my account.
The “sleeping” account can be audited and my broker will confirm the trades. The audit can be done by someone from Elite, but only on condition that my name, the name of my broker and the number of the account will never be disclosed. Elite will need my written approval prior to making any communication about the audited documents and the documents cannot be published in their original form. I will only make obstruction to communications that interfere with my privacy.
After I have given my trades to be audited I would like to compare them with Rubberbird’s trades for that same period. This will clearly show who’s the best.

So I’m neither afraid nor impressed by the returns of Rubberbird. I’m sure I can beat him.

Rubberbird, what do you say about this little contest? I look forward to compete against one of the best traders in the world. Loosing from one of the 1% top traders in the world is not a shame, it take it for granted that I will lose, that’s why you are in the top 1% and I’m not.

PS: about the returns I have in mind to achieve: 3 digit monthly returns and 7 figure NET PROFITS a year (not 7 figures account size, but PROFIT size).

This is the third time i post the same text, please read him carefully and try to understand what i say.

    And because you keep insisting:

    2000: double digit return
    2001: triple digit return
    2002: triple digit return
    2003: triple digit return
    2004: triple digit return

But probably you have no idea how futures work so i include a small matrix; on the left the points you have to make net per day and on top the number of contracts traded. The sample starts with a 3000$ starting capital and calculates the value at the end of 1 year of trading.

    ....... 30 40 50 contracts
    1.00 314,800 407,750 498,100
    1.25 404,375 527,188 647,375
    1.50 494,250 646,950 796,950
    1.75 583,650 766,088 945,900

The last hour of today we made a drop of 4 points already.

  4. RubberBird, that is a fair set up. I have one condition though. I get winners! :D :D

  5. Hey Charlie, help me out here. Does lil spikey say that he is earning returns from a $3000 trading account?? I think that's what it says. Geez, I wasted all this time against a guy trading using a $3K denominator:eek:

lil spikey, when you start trading a 7 figure account, those things like double digit returns will actually mean something. Otherwise, back to your sandbox.

  6. You don't have to try to wiggle out of it. You make assumptions based on your imagination. I never said i trade a 3000$ account. But even if i did and i would end after 1 year at 500 000$ or more, i think i would be declared the winner, not?
If you make 2 million out of 1 it would be OK, but if i make 500 000 out of 3000 it would not be OK?
What you say in fact is that traders that don't trade 7 figures accounts are lousy traders? Even if they make a few 100% a year?

If you want we can do 2 tests: we first trade both 3000$ for 1 year.
After that we trade 1 million dollars each for 1 year.
This would suite me well because i can first make that million in the "mini" contest before starting the real work.

    :D :D :D

  7. did you take YOUR lithium today? you're sounding more and more like lithium capital. This is what you've been quoted on:

so what happened to posting our returns and betting on them?

The sample starts with a $3K starting capital...say lil spikey.

Spikey, I don't know how this turned from your challenge on posting returns and betting on them (see YOUR quote above), to having a hypothetical contest on ET, but you definitely got a screw loose. I actually trade for a living, I also trade others money for a living, i live and trade in the real world.

Summary: I have ZERO time for a fantasy stock trading game.
I'm very embarrassed this ridiculousness got this far.

Rubberbird, why are you jacking off over 10 points ?
You are still in the red 10 points on your last top call at 1225 ?
Call me crazy but the chart is not showing a top, but a pull back to test 1225.

  9. That's an interesting choice of words. I do my jacking off, but it has nothing to do with trading.

I'm in a nice mood today, so I ask you to read through this thread. I short out of the money calls, so I have some cushion in my pushin. Nevertheless, I did admit error on the 1225 top, and even conceded and threw in the white flag on my positions.

But whenever I throw in my own white flag, thats a sure sign of a market top. And so I re-entered on 7/29, and now assume the market topped there.
