  1. Look, my computer cannot open it, says the file may be contaminated. Of course, you blame me for this. To me, blaming me for a computer response is repulsive.

How bout just copying and pasting the document? My 3 year old can copy and paste computer words. Otherwise, i'll never know the contents, which is problably what you want.:p

nice grammar. I have nothing to afraid. My computer cannot open it. understande englishe?

I wonder how you guys make money....
Thank your stars you are not computer programmers.!!

07-29-05 09:51 PM Quote from rubberbird:I'm in the top 1% of ALL traders in this world, according to my audited returns, which probably puts me in the top .1% of ET'ers!!Sorry, I couldn't resist. Have a good weekend! And remember, 7/29 the S&P topped. What an arrogance! How can you know if you're in the top 1% of the world?Just tell us your "amazing" returns. It might even be possible that I will make a bet with you that I beat you. So just give us the returns and I will see what I can do.The alternative is to shut up about your so called huge returns.I think most people would like you to post the returns and to see if I can beat you. This would finally give some value to this idiot thread.

    **

I clearly say: It might even be possible that I will make a bet with you that I beat you.
So I asked your return to see if I would be able to beat you; and I indeed think I can beat you.

"It ain't braggin if you can back it up." says mr. marketlil spikey wants to take the bird challenge? As Tom Cruise said to Paul Newman, "you're out-manned!"OK, spikey, i'll play, i'm feelin good about 7/29 S&P top, and I have alittle time right now. So here goes. You "said" you've been trading 15 years. I'll begin from when my audit starts in 1996. It says over a 6 year period (1996-2001), I made +675% (maybe alittle more ), while the S&P was +100%. It also says I made double digit returns EVERY year. And here's the kicker spikey, this is on a 7 figure account. Anyone can make huge returns on a 4 or 5 figure account, if you even got that. And I haven't even treaded into 2002-2005...yet.Show us what you got lil spikey. Do we have a bet?

You made 675% in 6 years; that’s a compounded rate of return of about 40% a year. That’s surely not enough to be in the top 1% of the world.
The1995-2001 years were indeed very easy years to make money as brokerboy stated. But no problem, I easily go above your 40% a year average.

You say: Anyone can make huge returns on a 4 or 5 figure account, if you even got that.
Ask around who can make 675% in 6 years even in a small account. This statement is ridiculous.
4 or 5 or 7 figure accounts don’t matter when it comes to the level of difficulty to obtain your rate of return. If you had traded the same signals with a small account the return would have been exactly the same. But would it have been easier? No, because you did exactly the same as with the big account. So the achievement is identical.

Congratulations on your returns (yes, I can admit it was a good performance, even when it comes from someone I don't like. Being objective is important, otherwise any discussion is useless.). I was afraid it would be much more. So I think we can do an experiment. I will come back on this within 48 hours. It's weekend over here so I promised wy wife to stay away from my PC the whole weekend.

    ******

I clearly said that I would react within 48 hours; so I never said YES or NO to any bet. I just said that the fact that I react later doesn’t mean I’m running away.

So this is what I have to say:

I will prove that I can beat Rubberbird. I will use a sleeping account of mine to trade. I don’t want to give up my privacy, so I don’t want to show my actual trading account. It’s nobody’s business to know how long I’m trading and how much (or how little) money there is on my account.
The “sleeping” account can be audited and my broker will confirm the trades. The audit can be done by someone from Elite, but only on condition that my name, the name of my broker and the number of the account will never be disclosed. Elite will need my written approval prior to making any communication about the audited documents and the documents cannot be published in their original form. I will only make obstruction to communications that interfere with my privacy.

After I have given my trades to be audited I would like to compare them with Rubberbird’s trades for that same period. This will clearly show who’s the best.

So I’m neither afraid nor impressed by the returns of Rubberbird. I’m sure I can beat him.

Rubberbird, what do you say about this little contest? I look forward to compete against one of the best traders in the world. Loosing from one of the 1% top traders in the world is not a shame, it take it for granted that I will lose, that’s why you are in the top 1% and I’m not.

PS: about the returns I have in mind to achieve: 3 digit monthly returns and 7 figure NET PROFITS a year (not 7 figures account size, but PROFIT size).

  3. Yeah, I understand all you guys for sure. Sorry for my english it's not so good, it's not my native language. But I guess you don't know a word in russian. So relax and have fun.

Concentrate on Spike proposal, don't be a chicken'.. Your justifications that you can't open this file are the fully shit. Or perhaps your computer is IBM 286 ?... :p

  4. lil spikey,

I don't have the energy to read a book right now. do me a favor, do what I did, tell me your returns from 1996-2001, and approx what $ amount of account it was, and if you were profitable every year.

    The form should read :

    1996
    1997
    1998
    1999
    2000
    2001
2002 can be included if you want, and i'll add it as well.

we believe you, just tell us, lil spikey. and please make it short.

  5. You are ridiculous.

  6. Only the present is important, not the past. I know of dozens of traders that made your kind of returns in that period. Many op them are still trying to get back the money they lost after 2001. I think you are one of them. Your talking aboiut that specific period because after 2002 it was not that good anymore. You clearly demonstrated that the past weeks. I wipe out your 657 % in a few months time.

So this is what I have to say:

  7. pants on fire! what does the above quote say?

    2000 S&P -9%
    2001 S&P -12%
    2002 S&P -21%

These are 3 of my best years. You know other traders that did really well from 2000-2002?? Who? are you on lithium? The nasdaq crashed, and the S&P plummeted! you know zero about trading.

get real, lil boy. You say in your quote that if I tell you my returns during these periods, you may "beat me". liar. get real, spikey. you'r now in my hall of shame with the lithium kid, and other fools who say that during 2000-2002 you know alot of traders who made "easy money". what a tool!

  8. i must say.....21% in 2002 is very impressive....since it was the choppy pivot year from the 2000 downtrend.

    (although i wasnt hatched yet:D )

  9. Why don't you two set up one of those fake online portfolios each and open it up to the public and have a trade-off for a month or so....

I'm so ashamed that I want to know how this turns out.... :D :D :D
