The better measure of competence is to measure how many bills they voted for that contributed to a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit Ryan voted for the unfunded Iraq war,the unfunded Bush tax cuts ,Bushs unfunded medicare expansion etc
And you think this is a bad thing? Well, I guess I would like ~one~ bill to be introduced and passed - a law that says for every bill a legislator introduces he has 5000 of his votes thrown out in the next election.
you do understand that a congressman can introduce bills to reduce spending or repeal unpopular programs? no?
