Russians confirm that UK climate scientists manipulated data to exaggerate global

  1. Whats funny about this is that Water Vapor is the most significant greenhouse gas but you can't tax Water so CO2 will have to do.

"The contribution to the greenhouse effect by a gas is affected by both the characteristics of the gas and its abundance. For example, on a molecule-for-molecule basis methane is about eight times stronger greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide[6], but it is present in much smaller concentrations so that its total contribution is smaller. When these gases are ranked by their contribution to the greenhouse effect, the most important are:[7]

    water vapor, which contributes 36–72%
    carbon dioxide, which contributes 9–26%
    methane, which contributes 4–9%
    ozone, which contributes 3–7% "

by the way - when I read all this global warming science.

What I read about is models and estimations.

I drives me nuts that scientists act like they know facts.

Facts do not get changed 3 years later when someone bothers to take real measurements. If you have models and you want to hold them out as facts. The models should have been validated by real predictions and measurements.

At the moment we really have no idea whether the antarctic ice is changing in mass beyond the base line expected loss in mass we expect since the last maximum thousands of years ago.

I have dave citing some study that is now called into question - because someone took the time to take real measurements.

    WTF...

What we had was speculation -- why not call it ice mass loss speculation. Instead of Global warming science.

  3. Yeah, that's in contradiction to your position that antarctic ice is increasing -- their report is that antarctic ice might be decreasing at a slower rate than they originally thought. Notice that it's decreasing.

  4. No, it wouldn't be given the massive volume of CO2 produced by man. Tailpipes spewed out 1.2 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide from burning gasoline. Given how little gases weigh per volume, picture how much volume a pound of CO2 takes up. It would be large because it's a gas.

Now picture the volume taken up by 1.2 billion metric tons of CO2.

  5. Now picture the amount of methane gas released from the bullshit you are spewing.

  6. Drjekyllus, rather than boring me nearly to death with your utterly uncreative whinging, why don't you dispute one of the facts in that paragraph for us all.

    Congratulations on the win.
