That's right, because they believe there are other factors affecting tree ring size, so it is no longer helpful in explaining the warming that we can verify with our own eyeballs.

I have no dog in the hunt.

We have emails and russian scientists saying the global warming data is manipulated.

You implied the Russians are lying. I was just wondering if you wish to back up your statement.

  4. There is no warming that is verifiable. They decide on what data to include based on how much it helps them to get research grants.

The evidence is clear based on those emails that they were lying. Why anyone would take their side now is beyond me. Its denial of facts which is common with Liberals.

  5. In other words they really have no idea of what the climate was more than say 100 years. Even then, I would love to know how well calibrated the equipment was back in 1909. We certainly can't use tree ring data. Its been shown to be bogus.

Read the article. There are many other methodologies and datasets to work with in addition to tree rings.

  8. I posted this the only day I thought. Check this out. It puts the "Hockey Stick" into prespective.

  9. Nope. There were things called thermometers back then which calibrate to tree rings (and coral, and ice cores, etc.etc.)

To do that you would take a thermometer from 1909. Which is pretty easy.

  10. It sure did -- it made me realize what nonsense people put on Youtube.

Greenland's ice cores, alone, aren't global. In fact, Greenland is not the Earth.

There are other problems with the video, but I'll let you start by arguing that Greenland is, in fact, the entire planet.
