Hello, I need some cash CHF. Between CZK,EUR,RUB and AUD, what would you liquidate right now?I am making some nice gains on EUR and CZK lately.
Hello TDT, Obviously, AUD begins to fall against major currencies. Warning if USDAUD breaks above 1.3000. Target 1.3500, even 1.4000. CZK is over-overbought. So be ready to take profits at any time if it is over-over-overbought . For example USDCZK @ 20 should be a great target . Hope it helps. CM
I know one German manufacturer who brought back some of their production back to Germany from Czechslovakia personally, I would sell the Euro because the shit hasn't hit the fan yet with that fake, put together currency. you can get to "short" the currency of a diverse group of countries. not being in a currency is the same as being short the currency. also I believe that Germany, while still the engine of Europe, is part of a politically engineered (slapped together ) currency which will have a bad ending. + a retracement from the lows like now is an opportune time to take a profit.
A bet on Eurozone crisis, hmm quite tempting but wasting years to know your prophecy come true.. I came there for 1:500 leverage, decent lots and roller coaster
I wouldn't sell euros just yet, it's a stable currency. Then again, looking at what's happening right now, I don't know what to believe in. But euro is definitely winning when compared with rouble.
Till the carry traders are in. Now with shrinking interest rate margin and bullish global economic forecasts the fate of ruble will be extremely mixed. Rising interest rate in borrowed countries - sell ruble Rising oil buy ruble? What's your opinions what will prevail?
I just liquidated part of my CZKs ( nice gain ) and rubles( small gain ) and bought South African Rands with the proceeds. The size isn't big though. - Positive response on the rand market to the new president. - He is pro-business. - Rand pays a high interest.
My rand "trade" doesn't look too bad so far, but any ideas about safer currencies to hold? I was thinking about Mexican Peso if ( big if ) they finally find a way to maintain NAFTA or Norwegian Krone which may finally decide to follow crude... Or Polish Zloty since their economy is booming...I am quite lost lately, no big macro development to trigger a "trade".
Hello Tradator... I am not sure this is a good idea. On a short term basis, I would rather be long dollar vs a lot of currencies, particularly MXN... Maybe TRY could be a good play... Everyone hates it, same story as RUB 2 years ago... CM
