Russian bank balance looks pretty healthy to me: Russian national debt: $300 Billion. US National debt: $30,000 Billion Total Reserves according to world bank (these figures might be a bit out of date): Russian total reserves (including gold): $600 Billion. US total reserves (included gold): $630 Billion
Russia has been decoupling its economy for a while, due to past US sanctions. Any trade involving dollars is now a tiny, tiny portion. If you want to hurt Russia, Joe Biden should end his war on US oil companies and reverse all his executive orders targeting the US oil sector. Dumb all around, that the US imports oil from Russia and Saudi Arabia? Otherwise, pay higher oil prices and inflation can only get worst, not better down the line.
Feel free to just ignore GDP. There is no comparison between a G-7 economy and the Russian economy. If it can’t be dug out of the ground or made into a weapon they’re lost.
Russia don't need us, they have enough gold, wheat and energy = independence. The US is bending over to become dependent.
100% But there are a lot of tree-hugging idiots who voted for Biden. To be honest, let the US-tax-payer get their well just desserts for it. They voted for that pos, let them pay for it now...
True, their citizens have a long history of being exploited and marginalized. Formula 1, FIFA, and ATP Tennis have all cancelled 2022 professional sporting events scheduled in Russia.
On the other side of the story, it's also possible Putin is just a really nice guy and this is all a mis-understanding or a fat-finger-order by mistake. In any case, the markets are loving him today even more than yesterday's rally. (Putin points finger at the free-markets and says "Look, I did that!")
I think the markets are loving the fact that the USA won't get inolved military. If they did, it would be a tragedy for the world and probably for the markets.
%% And putin is the worst kind of LIAR,[evil empire] he said '' a bear market is a failure of capitalism'' LOL. Bear market or bear trend not a failure of capitalism, it's part of a cycle.
